2009 Team News:
10/11/2009: Congratulations to Craig "Hollywood" Mitchell for his 10th place finish at Syracuse and being awarded Rookie of the Race.
9/30/2009: We've packed it in for the year. In final point standings for the 358's, Hollywood finished 4th and John 8th.
9/5/2009: Final night of points. Hollywood had a good run with the #33x and finished 3rd. The motor in John's #33 358 car expired. John did debut the #33 big block car, Big Red, but got caught up in several chain reaction wrecks.
8/29/2009: Rained out.....AGAIN.
8/22/2009: Rained out.
8/19/2009: Stay tuned.......we're trying to get Big Red ready for this weekend.
8/15/2009: John took out the #33x PMC with the big blocks, but he got caught in a lap 2 pileup. Sorry Hollywood... just get John to fix it for you.
8/8/2009: John took his #33 small block car out again with the big blocks and finished 17th. Next week he's going to run the #33x PMC small block car against the big blocks. Coming soon.... "Big Red".
8/1/2009: 358 race 4 out of 5 featured tough track conditions. John finished 11th in the #33, and Hollywood had some early trouble and finished 14th with the #33x.
7/25/2009: John went out with the big blocks again, but unfortunately got a little too high going into turn 1 and turned the car onto it's roof. John was fine, but the car was done for the night.
7/18/2009: The 358's were back in action. Hollywood got mired in heavy traffic but was able to cross the line 9th. John was able to get a 7th place finish after getting shuffled back several spots at the start.
7/4/2009: In the held over big block feature John had the had the 5th fastest lap in his small block, but brake problems forced him to park it early. In the regular night's show, Hollywood took out John's car to qualify as he had problems with his own 93x big block car. Hollywood was able to get his car fixed for the feature, in which he finished 13th.
6/13/2009: John ran his 33 small block car with the big blocks, but the feature was rained out.
6/6/2009: WOW!!! It's a WIN for Hollywood in the 33x, in a 30 lap thriller. Also a great job by John for finishing 4th in the second car.
5/23/2009: John finished 15th in the held over Big Block feature, after getting involved in an early crash and breaking a front shock which the team replaced without loosing a lap. In the regular feature, John's driveshaft broke leading to a DNF. Next up will be June 6th, where both Hollywood and John will be competing in the next 358 event.
5/16/2009: John Lieto took out the 33 small block car with the big blocks. He started last in his heat and finished 1 spot out of qualifying. He then finished 2nd in the consi, securing a qualifying spot. Rain ended the night before the feature could be run, it has been rescheduled for 5/23.
4/25/2009: Opening night for the small blocks. Hollywood placed 7th in the 33x, while John Lieto drove the 33 home right behind him in 8th. Check out the Fun page for in-car camera video from Hollywood's car.
2/23/2009: The 2009 OCFS schedule has been announced. Unfortunately it contains only 5 points races for the small blocks.
1/13/2009: Happy New Year! Right now we're anxiously waiting to hear who will be running OCFS this year and what the rules will be so we can finalize our plans.
